Thankful Thursday
Yes, Hubby and I did have a blessed Easter.
It started with an early sunrise service outdoors at church.
The air was beautiful, the music and words hit the spot, and it was nice to get a visual sense of fellowship and community.
On our way out, the pastor made a beeline for us to let us know that we are supported in every way possible in the midst of our quiet and personal struggle with our adoption agency while we ponder our next step.
We rushed home and began preparations for Easter lunch at our home for our families. Everyone brought something wonderful to share to complete the meal. It was simple, it was multicultural, it was family.
When everyone left we went straight to bed and just crashed, just hoping and praying that our efforts to keep ourselves focused on the spirit and truth of Easter would lead us to life and a commitment to Christ's victory.
Sure enough, we got up Monday refreshed and everyday since. Our week has proven itself productive. Hubby and I have been able to focus on reminding ourselves of all the amazing blessings we already enjoy. And the thoughts and prayers from family, friends, the church, and all the blogging friends have made a huge impact on all of this, making it possible to be thankful with greater ease.
Thanks be to God!

It seems Easter and new life go hand in hand. God can work miracles in our lives each day...if WE just let Him.
Blessings to you.

I so agree with Beckie..God can bring NEW life if we let HIM. I am also glad that your week has went so well. We just have to put everything in his hands and let him do his THING!! This is advice for myself as well..

I know this has been a rough couple of weeks for you, Betty. I'm glad you had a nice Easter and that the two of you were able to rest and come back feeling more able to handle it all.

It is awesome how God refreshes us, we don't necessarily get answers but he renews our spirit.

The sunsrise service on Easter sounds awesome. Our church has never had one outdoors. I think it would be a special remembrance of Jesus Resurrection. I pray you get the answers to your adoption soon. May God bless your family!
